VICTORIA, Australia (PRWEB) May 11, 2012

Fun, whimsical and delightful, “The Little Tacker’s Guide to OPPOSITES” will take young readers to an educational tour into the world of contradicting human emotions, personality and character traits. Created by Robert Standfield, this captivating book stimulates the creativity that rests within a child.

With very careful contouring and artistic precision, the playful and vivacious drawings in this book brings to life pairs of opposites, from depicting vivid images of anger and serenity, danger and safety, beauty and ugliness, health and sickness, strength and weakness. These extremes are symbolic of the natural course or rite of passage that human beings normally go through and experience in life. This eye-opening book prepares the youth about life’s ambiguities through drawings that are easier for them to understand.

This colorful book is a boon to all parents, caregivers, educators and most especially to young children who may have some cognitive difficulty with distinguishing various contradicting components in objects, people and circumstances. “The Little Tacker’s Guide to OPPOSITES” is a visual articulation of several concepts that many children may have difficulty in understanding.

Miami, FL (PRWEB) May 11, 2012

IRA Financial Group, the leading provider of solo 401(k) Plans, introduces free plan administration services for its solo 401K plan clients. With IRA Financial Group’s Solo 401K Plan, sole proprietorships or small business owners with no full-time employees can have their own retirement plan without having to pay annual plan administration fees. “Our solo 401(k) Plan clients are able to serve as trustee and plan administrator of their own retirement plans, “ stated Adam Bergman, a tax attorney with the IRA Financial Group. “Because a Solo 401(k) Plan has no employees it is not governed by the ERISA rules, which makes administering ones own plan fairly easy,“ stated Mr. Bergman.

The Solo 401K Plan, also known as an individual 401K was initially created to provide sole proprietorships and small business owners with no full-time employees with an easy and cost effective retirement program. The IRS did not want small business owners to have spend considerable time or waste resources on complying with numerous administrative rules and regulations with respect to their retirement plan. From a Solo 401K plan administrator standpoint, the solo 401(k) Plan is easy to operate. There is generally no annual filing requirement unless the solo 401(k) Plan exceeds $ 250,000 in assets, in which case one will need to file a short information return with the IRS (Form 5500-EZ). In other words, if a solo 401(k) Plan has less than $ 250,000 in asset value, the Plan would not be required to file the annual IRS Form 5500EZ.

For Solo 401(k) Plans that have assets with a value in excess of $ 250,000, the plan administrator is required to file the IRS Form 5500-EZ. The tax professionals at the IRA Financial Group will help clients complete the IRS Form 5500EZ as well as offer tax support with respect to any questions on the plan making serving as plan administrator safe and easy. “By using our solo 401(k) Plans, our clients are able to save hundreds of dollars each year in administrative fees, “ stated Maria Ritsi, a paralegal with the IRA Financial Group.

The IRA Financial Group was founded by a group of top law firm tax and ERISA lawyers who have worked at some of the largest law firms in the United States, such as White & Case LLP and Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP.

IRA Financial Group is the market’s leading “Checkbook Control” Self Directed IRA and Solo 401k Plan Facilitator. We have helped thousands of clients take back control over their retirement funds while gaining the ability to invest in almost any type of investment, including real estate tax-free and without custodian consent!

Canton, MI (Vocus) December 15, 2010

RepairClinic.com’s Outreach program has once again partnered with Hope Clinic, a local non-profit organization that offers aid to those in need, to provide families this holiday season with food, household goods, toys, and clothing.

Outreach adopted five families through Hope Clinic this year to help them celebrate Christmas. Outreach purchased new clothing, winter coats, shoes, bedding, toys, and pots and pans. Each member of each of the five families chooses one item they want for Christmas; all the other items are divided amongst the families according to their needs. Hope Clinic has been sponsoring the Christmas Adoption Program for 10 years, each year receiving more requests from families and more businesses to become sponsors. In 2009, the program adopted over 200 families with this year’s adoptions being even greater. The families that are not adopted, due to lack of sponsors, are given the opportunity to select gifts for their families from the items donated to Hope Clinic by various organizations and businesses.

By Tuesday, December 14, RepairClinic’s Outreach has also collected 504 items from RepairClinic employees for the Hope Clinic Care and Share Closet. The employees donated household goods such as toilet paper, cleaning supplies, personal care products, and non-perishable food items. Due to the generosity of RepairClinic employees and many others in the community, Hope Clinic is able to provide groceries to over 1,700 households each year through their Care and Share Closet program.

Galloway, NJ (PRWEB) May 09, 2012

With a society increasingly focused on health and customer service, it is no surprise that the make-your-own frozen yogurt business model has caught on. The recent explosion in frozen yogurt businesses caters to the health conscious and sweets-lovers alike, creating one of the most profitable opportunities in recent history. Many seeking to ride the wave success have turned to YogoFactory, a booming new company based out of New Jersey.

“We’re [seeing] seven to eight hundred people a day right now. Even between 10 and midnight. It’s very busy,” says Brian Petruzzi, owner of YogoFactory.

YogoFactory is boasting 31 stores, including 9 franchises and 22 company-owned. While this is impressive for a fairly new business, the most promising aspect of YogoFactory is the growth rate they are exhibiting: an average of 2-4 new stores a week. Fortunately for all franchise owners and prospective franchise owners, this is the golden time in the frozen yogurt franchise revolution; a new trend is sweeping the nation, however it hasn’t gotten to the point where every area has a store. This allows for a nearly guaranteed success with little local competition.

Petruzzi credits much of his success to the versatility of the products offered.

“You either have the people that make the giant heavy sundaes or light healthy [treats],” he explains.

The beauty of this idea is that everyone can be satisfied, allowing for a much broader customer base. On top of this approximately 95% of the flavors are fat-free. This plays perfectly into the health craze that is enveloping the nation, so regardless of where new stores are popping up, there will be a market there for health food.

YogoFactory, however, is no one-trick pony. Another important facet of this business is the fun community hangout atmosphere it promotes.

“We don’t want people to rush in and rush out. This is a place to hang out.”

People are encouraged to sit, eat, and watch television at YogoFactory. Because this is so different from most other food stores, it offers a refreshing feel that is hard to come by. For this reason a YogoFactory is sure to become centric in many neighborhoods, especially in an age when relaxed social settings are so hard to come by in the food industry.

The popularity of frozen yogurt has grown exponentially over the last few years, and it is expected to grow even more in the near future. YogoFactory will continue to franchise and expand, and many should expect to see a store in your area soon.

Toms River, NJ (PRWEB) May 06, 2012

Originals By Weber, Toms River, NJ 08753, Terry L. Weber, owner, announces immediate availability of their new, Patent Pending, long lasting Weber Denture Liners in a handy do-it-yourself kit. The always soft new Weber Denture Liner compound in this kit that requires no mixing to use, is an always flexible, translucent, odorless, tasteless putty-like compound designed to easily fill the gaps created by the slow but constant natural shrinkage of the gums and jawbones after natural teeth have been removed.

The new Weber Denture Liner compound provides a denture wearer with the three basic essentials needed for comfortable, never loose dentures:

(1) support,

(2) stability and

(3) reliable retention.

Most new denture wearers are aware of the fact that, after a few months of use, their once comfortable dentures (false teeth) lose their original stability. This happens because there is always a very slow normal amount of shrinkage of both gums and jawbones after natural teeth are removed. This unstoppable, normal shrinkage gradually causes the rigid plastic denture to become loose and unstable in the mouth, especially when chewing food. Then, during process of chewing food, the movement of the denture where it rubs against the gums can cause raw and very painful sores to develop on the gums. However, use of these new, unique and always soft Weber Denture Liners to “fill the gaps” can eliminate this very common “sore mouth” problem denture wearers always have. It is the best and most reliable way yet to provide a space-filling comfortable always-soft cushion between the hard acrylic plastic of the denture and the soft and tender flesh of the gums.

The Weber Denture Liner kit is a low cost, do-it-yourself-at home method of re-lining all loose dentures both: uppers and lowers with no mixing required. The soft, mold-able, always flexible Liner material self-adheres with no adhesive or “glue” to the dry acrylic surface of the denture. Just drop the new Weber Denture Liner compound in place on the top of the denture. If needed, the new Weber Denture Liner can be easily cut with scissors and then shaped for most comfortable fit in the contours of the denture. The Liner is simply placed on top of the dry denture using gentle finger pressure. The Liner retains its flexibility in all temperatures and is always tasteless. After a Liner is positioned on the denture, the user can, if needed, sparingly sprinkles the top surface of the Liner with the (included) denture adhesive powder. This powder provides, if and when needed, increased denture retention and gives added stability and support, thus eliminating annoying denture movement while talking and chewing food.

To extend the denture liner’s useful life (make it re-usable for a longer period of time) it should be washed and rinsed with ordinary tap water once each day to remove all trapped food particles. At night, the Weber Denture Liner compound can be easily removed (peeled off) of the denture, rinsed clean, dried and re-used that night or the next day. Liners are available as soft, flexible, shape-able discs approximately 2-inches in diameter by 1/8-inch thick and require no mixing. In addition, there are other Weber Denture Liners that have been pre-shaped into the user’s choice of upper and or lower liner shapes. These pre-shaped liners are faster, easier and more convenient to use and they save time and make dentures fit better in the mouth.

When Weber was asked what kind of feedback he gets from users of the Weber Denture Liner kit he said:

“Let me quote a few of the comments I’ve had such as:

(1) “We love this product! This is the answer we’ve been looking for! Thank you.

(2) “I am very pleased, can spit further than ever and eat chicken bones again!”

(3) “Fantastic product, so easy to use!”

(4) “Excellent product and highly recommended.”

(5) “Really like it, works better than anything I have tried.”

(6) “Nice product, great deal, thanks!”

(7) “The denture liners are helping my husband with his dentures, that were ill-fitting from the start. They now stay in place and are comfortable to wear. Eventually he will need a new set of dentures, but the liners help a lot until then. My husband can now have hard to eat foods that he’s been missing. I would recommend this product to others.”

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) May 03, 2012

Clearwater Compliance founder and CEO, Bob Chaput, will be hosting a webinar on “How to Assess Your HIPAA-HITECH Security Compliance Program”

The Challenge:

The HITECH Act, which was enacted as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, significantly modified and strengthened many aspects of the HIPAA Security Rule (and Privacy Rule), including the penalties that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) could impose for violations of the HIPAA rules.

In June of 2011, the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) hired Virginia-based audit firm KPMG to implement its HITECH-required HIPAA compliance auditing plan. The audits are underway. Section 13411 of The HITECH Act, passed in 2009, states that periodic audits must be conducted to ensure covered entities and business associates are complying with HIPAA-HITECH requirements. According to a $ 9.2 million contract that was provide by the Department of Health and Human Services, KPMG will audit ~150 entities by the close of 2012. OCR has also added investigators in 10 regional OCR offices with the expectation to conduct more HIPAA security compliant investigations and compliance reviews.

Many CEs have ignored the law for the last five years. A majority of BAs are not even aware of their new obligations under the law. Will compliance change? — Most experts think so and so do we! The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act has been called a “game changer” because it significantly strengthens many aspects of the HIPAA Security Rule (and Privacy Rule), including the penalties that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) could impose for violations of the HIPAA rules as well as enforcement.

Maryland Hospital Association

Elkridge, MD (PRWEB) March 26, 2009

The economic crisis is taking a significant toll on Maryland hospitals, causing their finances to slide to unprecedented low levels during the final quarter of 2008. Maryland hospitals’ total margins dropped to negative 13.5 percent between October 1 and December 31, 2008, compared to 2.2 percent during the same time in 2007. Hospitals’ total margins had already fallen to a negative 2.5 percent in the quarter ending September 30, 2008. Total margins measure the overall financial condition of Maryland’s hospitals, which are almost exclusively not-for-profit facilities.

“At the very time when the economy is forcing more Marylanders to turn to hospitals for their only source of health care, the economy is crippling Maryland hospitals’ ability to meet the growing demand,” Carmela Coyle, MHA President and CEO, said. “That means hospitals have significantly less money to hire new staff, invest in new services and programs or technology, to upgrade buildings, or to help physicians.”

The situation in Maryland is far worse than for hospitals nationwide, where the deficit for total margins was negative 7.8 percent for the final three months of 2008.

Thirty-four Maryland hospitals sustained overall losses during that three-month period totaling $ 466 million, according to a new financial analysis by the Maryland Hospital Association.

Most of hospitals’ losses resulted from increases in interest rates, losses on returns, and other increases in costs needed to provide financing to upgrade or expand programs and to underwrite the costs of new technology. Operating margins–which measure financial performance in providing care–while dropping, did not fall as precipitously. Overall operating margins in the fourth quarter of 2008 were 1.5 percent–down from 2.4 percent in the quarter ending September 30. That is well below the rate-setting commission’s target of 2.75 percent and below the 1.8 percent operating margins for hospitals nationwide for the quarter ending December 31.

The losses Maryland hospitals face are forcing them to limit their purchases of new technology and equipment, and to delay upgrades in information technology according to a new MHA survey. Hospitals also report adopting, or considering, hiring freezes and staff reductions; eliminating vacant positions; and cutting administrative spending, including educational and meeting expenses. In addition, hospitals report the losses have led to a significant increase in hospitals’ pension liability costs.

Furthermore, the survey found the economy is forcing more and more physicians to approach hospitals for financial support, ranging from widespread requests for hospital employment to nearly universal requests for pay increases to provide services to hospitals. In 2008 hospitals provided $ 210 million in support to physicians.

“With a physician shortage particularly intense in inner city Baltimore and rural parts of the state, financial support for doctors is vital to assure access to care in these areas,” Coyle said.

“Hospitals are the bedrocks of our communities, both as providers of health care to all who need assistance and as the economic engines for our communities,” Coyle added. “Anything that weakens our hospitals poses a threat to the economy of Maryland and the well-being of our state.”

MHA is the advocate for Maryland hospitals, health systems, and their patients before legislative and regulatory bodies. Its membership is comprised of community and teaching hospitals, health systems, specialty hospitals, veterans hospitals, and long-term care facilities.

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 26, 2012

James Goldberg, author of a 450 page investigative look at Medical Tourism, The American Medical Money Machine, announced from New York that a new consulting service tailored to the needs of corporate HR Departments is now available.

Goldberg said “a dangerous new component of medical insurance is slowly being added to the options offered to corporations by third party administrators: the exportation of employees for cheaper foreign medical care. The consequences can be devastating.”

Goldberg said that he “the new consulting service will give HR departments direct access to me and my staff to answer questions which are now confronting HR departments: whether to buy 3rd party administrated health plans which contain the option to export patients for foreign, cheaper and unregulated medical care.”

Robert Marshall of Homonculus Press, publishers of The American Medical Money Machine, said that “cost cutting pressures are being placed on HR directors to select health plans which save both the company and its employees money: often at the expense of their safety.”

“The Medical Tourism package seems, on the surface, reasonable and helps in helping to solve the growing costs of medical care, but the consequences behind this assumption are frightening and dangerous,” said Marshall.

The United Steel Workers reported in a 2012 Press Release that they blocked Ridge Paper Company from sending a USW member for foreign medical treatment over concerns for the workers safety. The USW said that they would continue to enforce their policy barring corporations from sending workers for outsourced medical care, quoting the following:

“Self-insured corporations are expected to take advantage of low-cost overseas health care for their employees. One of the pioneers in this area, Blue Ridge Paper Co., of Canton, N.C., had planned to send its first worker to get surgery in India, but the United Steelworkers of America blocked it.”

“Since this is an unregulated area, expect to see some legislation designed to protect medical tourists.”

“Goldberg’s son was allegedly murdered at Bumrungrad Hospital, the epicenter of Medical Tourism (exportation),” according to Robert Marshall, Editor of Homonculus Press.

The author stated “that there is absolutely no protection offered by the United States for any US citizens who suffer from medical error or malpractice for malpractice or wrong doing when a US citizen receives healthcare abroad.”

Despite efforts made as recently as April with Senators Grassley and Baccus who oversee Medicare in the US Senate, no substantive legislation has been introduced to protect American workers’ Goldberg told a community gathering, Great Decisions, studying foreign relations issues in Sandia Park, New Mexico, as recently as 3 weeks ago.”

Goldberg reported that the US has “no treaties with foreign countries in which American citizens suffer from either medical error or malicious maltreatment.” Marshall reported that Goldberg’s “most recent attempts at alerting the Congress have been met with silence.”

HR Directors, said Goldberg, are “being lured by insurance behemoths that administer corporate health benefit programs into believing that foreign care is accredited by the same standards endowed by the US based Joint Commission. This is completely misleading. The Joint Commission has been actively selling world wide accreditations in order that hospitals abroad may receive Medicare and private reimbursements. This results in far higher medical insurance company profits at the expense of patient safety.” Goldberg went on to tell the Sandia Park Foreign Relations study group.

Goldberg has consulted and continues to do so with Senators Grassley and Baccus who oversee Medicare policy. Goldberg said, “My constant efforts to inform Congress and the Senate, to date, have resulted in absolutely no change!”

Goldberg said, “The American Medical Money Machine deeply explores the hidden phenomenon of patient exportation which is about to hit the America public. Plans have been laid for this outsourcing for the last 20 years.” The results, he says, will be “to place Americans in danger, without any hope of legal recourse.’

Goldberg said that he “urges others to join [him] and the United Steel Workers to oppose shipping US citizens abroad for medical care. This, in simple terms, is in simple terms, the next wave of patient and doctor exploitation.”

Author Goldberg said that “those third party administrators are paid to dispense medical benefits in behalf of the corporation. By buying procedures wholesale, such as heart surgeries or hip and knee replacements, enormous cost savings can be enjoyed while the third party administrators reap higher profit at the expense of patient safety. Our consulting service is designed to help make corporations aware of the health and financial consequences of Medical Outsourcing/Tourism.”

Goldberg said that “foreign hospitals who wish to capture American patients buy a US look a like accreditation, which is not sanctioned in any fashion by the United States.”

The author went on to say “the standards sold to what now exceeds 400 foreign hospitals have no provision for being policed or enforced. The United States legal system has absolutely no jurisdiction over these hospitals that often proclaim, without providing proof, that most of their doctors are US Board Certified and trained. My research has revealed that this not the case and constitutes, at least, false advertising if not outright fraud.”

“The HR Department Consultation Service provides for a complimentary initial analysis. Fees thereafter are based on need and scope,” said Goldberg.

Goldberg warns “HR departments to be extra cautious, while the financial pressures of Obamacare are about to take permanent hold in 2013, by avoiding seeking to cut costs by resorting to the exportation of their employees for foreign, cheaper but unregulated medical care.”

“As an incentive to launch the consulting service, 50 complimentary copies of The American Medical Money Machine will be made available to HR Directors who request consulting assistance” according to Robert Marshall, the publisher of The American Medical Money Machine.
